Clay quit his job and headed to Spain for a month. Then he flew from Croatia to meet up with me in Vietnam. He landed in Ho Chi Min and then took a flight to Da Nang where he waited for me to leave Hoi An and head up to him. We spent a couple hours talking about so many random topics from stuff at home to stories from our travels. I don’t think we could complete a thought or story before we started to accidentally start talking about something else. We both enjoyed seeing a familiar face and catching up on the past few months.

The river in Danang had 2 really cool bridges! One bridge had a dragon that changed colors and blew fire out of it’s mouth and then blew water out into the street. People got soaked. Some wore rain panchos because they knew it was coming. Clay and I were meeting a local for dinner and were told to meet her by the dragon on the bridge. We didn’t know what was going to happen. Luckily we were out of range for the wet zone! The other bridge changed colors every few seconds. The colors reflecting off of the water was beautiful.

We ate at a nice place where we made our own spring rolls. They were really good, although clay doesn’t like fish sauce (which you dip the spring rolls in).

We went on a bike ride to Monkey Mountain. It was gorgeous. A friend of a friend of a friend of clays (haha) lent us a motorbike for the day. She was such a nice vietnamese lady. She took us out for lunch and smoothies before we got the bike from her and insisted on paying.

Update: I left Vietnam a few weeks ago (still have more posts to make on it) and spent 2 weeks in Laos (it is beautiful and love the spicy food). I just got to North Thailand (Chang Mai and Pai) yesterday and will head to Myanmar in a week while clay goes to the Thai Islands!
